Installing The Handi-Tread into Wood
Type of Screw
Use #8 stainless steel self‐tapping wood screws. The length should be a minimum of ¾ of an inch. We recommend a pan head or round head Phillips drive.
A Handi-Tread has 9 screw holes, a Nosing has 5 screw holes on the tread surface and 4 more on the overhang surface, the Strip has 4 and the Pad 6 screw holes.
Installation
- Position the treads on the stair, ramp, or walkway exactly where you want them.
- Put the screw through one of the stamped holes* (note: do not insert the screw through one of the holes in the dimples). Start with the center hole(s) and work towards the end.
- That's it! You are done.
